Are you a People for Bikes?

One of the many cool things we experienced at the National Bike Summit was this video from People for Bikes, a recent effort by Bikes Belong to bring together cyclists from across the country. People for Bikes has a simple concept: get people to pledge that they like bikes and want to ride them. The website is full of good reasons to get on a bike and it tallies the number of pledges in an effort to show that riding a bike is not some specialized activity reserved for gearheads and racers. Rather, the organization is just trying to convey that riding a bike is fun and healthy and good for the environment and just an overall neat thing to do. Check them out at www.peopleforbikes.org.
